Hey guys
I hope someone can help as I am a bit confused and live chat were not particularly helpful.
I understand that the active minutes are worked out as
Fat burn zone for 1 minute - 1 active minute
Cardio zone for 1 minute - 2 active minutes.
Mine isn't acknowledging when I am in the cardio zone and updating my active minutes properly, even though it has been noted as cardio against my exercise based on my heart rate.
I've tried the whole reboot thing and nothing. Getting really annoyed by it now as it is going to screw up my active minutes goal for the week.
Cheers
H

Your understanding is correct for "Active Zone Minutes" on the Charge 4, Inspire 2, Ionic, Sense, and Versa series. Active Zone Minutes are a new category for Fitbit's newer trackers.
But I believe the Charge 3 still uses the previous category of "Active Minutes", which has different criteria, and does not give double points for more intense activity. However it does seem to have a lower threshold for qualifying as active minutes. And "active minutes' are not awarded precisely on heart rate, but on calorie burn rate compared to BMR.
You can read all the detail in this Help article:
What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?

Oh my god, thank you!
I have been on live chat three times this evening trying to get some clarification and none of them have given me that answer in a clear way 🤦🏻:female_sign: they need you in the department!
Two of them just told me to reboot the device even though they knew it was a Charge 3.

Thanks, but I have the privilege of having my pick of replying only when I know the answer, or can take the time to do research before answering.
