Charge 2 Intermittently Syncs

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My device is set to Sync All Day but still this device will intermittently sync whenever it wants to and stop syncing at whim as well. For example, it has been with my phone all day and on Bluetooth and WiFi but it still has not synced in 8 hours and will not sync. Of course, I've done all the basic troubleshooting. Reconnected my network. Turned off and on all my connections as well as my phone. Let the Fitbit die, recharge, and this still happens. I finally got the update to work today. That took 4 tries and that is the last time it synced. Now I remember why I stopped using it a year ago. This is ridiculous.

@VicariouslyFit, a warm welcome to our Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing correctly. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes, all of this was already done. I use the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 currently but will soon be upgrading to the Galaxy Note 10. the syncing / not syncing issue is intermittent and sporadic. Sometimes it will sync for a few hours at a time and other times it will stop syncing for 8 to 24 hours, sometimes it will not sync for several days at a time. It's actually why I stopped using it last year because it became too infuriating. I've checked, deleted, added, rebooted, and permitted everything I possibly could. No change.
