Charge 2 Not Showing Sleep Data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I wore my Charge 2 to bed last night but today it is not showing my sleep data. It says the correct day, but there is no data on Saturday. I have tried disconnecting from Bluetooth and restarting my phone. I can’t seem to restart the device: an Internet search says I’m supposed to plug it into the charger and then press and hold the button until the Fitbit logo appears - but no matter how long I hold the button, the logo does not appear. The screen is functioning fine though - it scrolls through each display when I tap the button. Can you help me get it to download my sleep data?

I am having the same trouble. Nothing since Thursday recorded for sleep and before that patchy as to whether my sleep is being recorded. I have just turned the sleep sensitivity up on my phone app to see if that helps. Everything else seems ok.

Update: they told me it was because the battery was low. So I charged it to full, wore it to bed on Saturday night, and the sleep data showed up yesterday morning. But this morning - no sleep data again. The battery is still almost full. What is going on?

I just started having this issue today! Hopefully it starts working again.. im assuming many people with the Charge 2 are having this issue.

I randomly had data recorded for Sunday night after nothing for a few days. My Fitbit showing 50% charge now 8.30pm Monday so if it is related to charge I wonder what will happen tonight??

It seems like it is a problem that quite a few people are having with no obvious answers.

I am also having this issue.

I pay for premium and am getting rather annoyed now.

Did the cradle reset, battery always well over 50%

Wearing it up from my wrist.  It's so random.

Support advised me to unpair it from my phone and set it up again. Worked for 2 nights and hasn't worked again for past 2 nights since.

With so many people having this issue surely there needs to be a firmware update or an exchange policy invoked?  These are not cheap trackers and a trusted brand so why so many issues and nothing ever gets permanently resolved.

Keep escalating directly through support via the app as haven't seen an update from a moderator on many of these threads.  Though have seen the ones to reset via charger, and reinstall device.  I shouldn't need to reinstall my device every night for it to work the way it should.  Means it's not fit for purpose.  I have a very low HRV which I am trying to track along with my other health matrics due to a recent hospitisation and sleep tracking not being recorded is a major problem.

Fitbit please resolve this there are too many users having the same issue over and over.

Hi there. Welcome to the Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear your Charge 2 is not recording your sleep data.

If your Charge 2 isn't registering your sleep, I recommend trying the following:

  1. Manually sync the tracker. See instructions in How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
  2. Restart the tracker. See instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.
  4. If steps 1-3 don't work, I suggest manually logging your sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in How do I edit my sleep history in the Fitbit app?

I hope this information helps.

Seems like a global problem though, given the number of people reporting the issue on this thread alone. I do hope Fitbit looks into a system-wide fix, as manually recording our sleep is impractical and counterproductive to owning the device.
