I stopped using my Fitibit for awhile. I've charged it and am trying to use it again. I'm trying to log into the app. I've tried all email addresses in my family, and we are unable to figure out the email address associated with the device. The only thing I can figure is that there is a typo in the original email we used, so I can't reset the password. From what I've read in searching here, doing a hard factory reset is not an option for the Charge 2. What options do I have to reset the Fitbit so I can use it?

It depends if you want to retain the data you tracked previously. If you are happy to forego that data then you could just set up a new fitbit account and add the Charge 2 as though it were a new device.

I don't care about retaining data, so how do I get it to sync to a new account?

It's been quite a few years since I created a Fitbit account but I seem to remember that it prompts you to set up a tracker in which case just follow the prompts. If it doesn't then go into your account settings in the app by selecting your profile image at the top left of the main screen and then select "set up a device".
By going through the setup process again it will reassign your Charge 2 to your new account.
