Charge 2 Screen blank

Yesterday my Charge 2 screen went crazy and is now blank. The tracker is still recording my steps etc and beeps when I hit my target. Am I right to assume the screen has died and it's time to get a new device?? thanks!

Hello @Sarl7 and welcome to the Community.  You can try restarting your Charge 2 and see if it resurrects your screen.  But I always brace users for bad news when a post includes words to the effect of, "My device went crazy and the screen is blank."  The Charge 2 was released in 2016.  It was discontinued a few months after you bought yours.  I think your device is at its end of life.  The type of battery in a Fitbit has about a 3-5 year lifespan, so I think you got your money's worth.

Just so you know, the Charge 5 has lots of cool stuff, but it doesn't count floors.  My daughter still wears her Charge 2 and is hoping Fitbit will put the altimeter back, if and when there is a Charge 6, and hers lasts that long.

Thanks for this @LZeeW I think you're right and my Charge 2 has had a great stint! thanks for the tips on other options too, I'll check them out!
