I have tried every suggestion I have seen to get this Charge 2 to update. It fails each and every time no matter what I do or which cell phone I use. The cell phone app is up to date. Tried restarting phone, restarting Charge 2, restarting both as well as every suggestion and combination I have seen here. I also see that there are a rather large number of Charge 2 users having the same issue. Has anyone actually been able to resolve this when it happens?

OK then... no solution to this I guess other then buy a newer model... Doesn't Apple do that to their users too? Planned obsolescence?
