Hi all, up until today my Fitbit has never let me down. But today the battery dies within 10 minutes of charging I can actually see it draining from 100% to 80% etc etc until dead. I’ve had it just over a year, any ideas ?
thanks.

@Fangdango It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Try cleaning your tracker's contacts with a toothpick or toothbrush and then use cotton with rubbing alcohol which can also be used to cleaning the charging cable. After this plug it directly to your computer's usb port (don't use hubs nor battery packs), restart it like @USAF-Larry suggested and leave it charging for a couple of hours.
Let me know how it goes!

@Fangdango, if you have not already tried to restart it, do a restart 3 times in a row to see if that corrects it.

This is similar to the problem I have been having. It doesn’t die quite that quickly but it was fully charged when I fell asleep last night around 10:30 and apparently from looking at my sleep reading it was dead less than 3 hours later. I think I have had mine more than a year but can’t remember for sure since I replaced a lesser model with it.

Planned obsolescence. It’s happened to 3 fitbits for me so far. I’m now looking for an alternative brand because Fitbit has horrible customer service and laughable warranty.

My battery held charge for 4-5 days until last week. Now it lasts 24-48 hours. I agree fitbil planned obselence to force replacement.
