This is the second Fitbit I have had that ended up having a battery issue. I have tried resetting the Fitbit (have a Fitbit Charge 2), but that didn't help. Battery is now down to less than 2 days and I have tried to shut off all extra's to extend the life. What can be done?

@darlnleah @Lgard75 @JazAmazin Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! I suggest you clean your tracker's contacts with a toothpick or toothbrush then use cotton with rubbing alcohol. Restart your tracker by doing the following:
You can now charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port and see how it behaves in the following days. If you haven't done so please disable the all day sync option on your Fitbit app.
Let me know how it goes

@AlvaroFitbit I am just resetting the Fitbit now and will see how long the battery last after that. I already had the sync all day turned off as I know that uses battery. I had turned off all extras to try to extend the battery life. Thank-you

I have cleaned and reset my Fitbit and it still only last 2 days. All my extras are turned off. Only manual syncing, etc. Is there anything else to be done this Fitbit is only 1 year old

I would contact Fitbit support. They can check the battery usage on their end to see if there are problems.

@Lgard75 @darlnleah thank you for following my suggestions. If your tracker's battery is still draining even after trying them and disabling all add ons then the best thing to do is letting our Support team know about this so they can assist you and find a solution for this. You will get an email from them. @darlnleah I noticed that you already contacted our team, what did they tell you? Were they able to help you?

I had support look into my fitbit and was told that there was nothing to do to fix it. I was advised that I could buy another one. However, this was my second fitbit and both did not last long. I feel a $175 investment should last longer than just over 1 year. Warranty only covered 1 year and they gave me a 25% off coupon. I still think that the cost is too much for a product that I find does not have longevity. I'm surprised that others have their products replaced, glad it worked for you. But doubt I would recommend this product after having as many issues as I have had. Lesson learned- as soon as you think there is an issue- contact support as if you wait at all, you won't be covered.

I have the same problem and have since the day I got it. It’s been 3 months and won’t keep a charge for more than about 36 hours and I’ve tried all of the tips to make the battery life last longer. I think I have a dud 😞

Similar issues for my 2yo Fitbit and tried all the fixes. Either there was an upgrade around 02 Oct 2019 or that's when my battery half died. I'm used to getting 5 days on a charge and since then it's been less than 48 hours. At some point, the heart rate was set to "on" and the green lights flashed even when off. It wasn't me as I had to Google what it was and set it to Auto.
I need to know if it is an application issue or a battery/unit issue (is there a life span for the batteries like with Apple? I can't use it properly if it's less than 2 days and may have to go back to wearing watches.
