Charge 2 blank screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So after reading some of the forms  i'm thinking it's just time for a new watch.

yes it is a Charge 2, its older so definitely out of warrenty.

I did any update 3-5 days ago to the app.  Ever since then my fitbit has been going blank on the screen.  It still records everything but the display will not turn on. I noticed my setting for Quick View had been turned off. So I turned it back on.  Went to sleep.  Now when I wakeup my Display is off and even hitting the side button  doesn't turn it back on.

I go thru the App. Quick View is still toggled on.   okay so not that now

I reset the Charge 2.   The whole plug in the charging cable, hold side button until the fitbit icon show..   I have had to do this EVERYTIME the screen goes black.

I never got the Factory reset to work.   from here :: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm#:~:text=Charge%202%E2%80%94press%20and%....

I did delete and then  set it up as new device.

i'm waiting to see how long this last.

I'm wondering what other people have done to fix this issue

First, charge it up to 100%

If your Fitbit isn’t fully charged, first place it on its charger and wait for it to reach its total capacity.

Verify your Fitbit isn’t in water lock mode

Some Fitbits include a water lock mode, which disables the screen and button(s) from responding to touches and swipes.

To turn off the water lock, dry your Fitbit and then double-tap your screen (Inspire and Luxe) or long-press the side button (Sense and Versa 3) to turn off its water lock.

Remove any case or screen protector
It’s best to remove any case or screen protector, to ensure it’s not blocking the ambient light sensor.

Your Fitbit’s ambient light sensor looks like a black dot on the side of your Fitbit device. If that’s blocked, your screen usually dims automatically.

Plug the device into the charging cable.
While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds.
Remove your finger from button.
Remove the device from the charging cable.
Plug the device into the charging cable again.
The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

Regards,

Will
