Charge 2 button doesn't bring up menus

I am unable to toggle between the available menus (Heart Rate, Exercise, Relax, Stopwatch, Alarms). Nothing happens when I press the button. However, I am able to tap the display to see steps, stairs, heartrate, etc. I've tried the resetting it (plugging in and holding the button for 4 seconds until the display shows), but it didn't change anything. Anyone have any suggestions for how I might access the other menus?

Correction to my earlier post, you can access the necessary settings on the app - it's under Menu Options. Let us know if that helps.

Your response may have provided THE KEY. In the PC version, I have everything checked, but it didn't make a difference. However, when I went to the Android App (Devices - Charge 2 - Menu Items), it was not checked there. I just checked those boxes and I'm waiting to see if that works. Keep your fingers crossed!

Welcome to the forums @trodier and @Latteloco, it’s great to see you in the Community!

If you haven't done so alreayd, make sure you've tried to perform the restart procedure you mentioned on your device at least three times, this has helped other users who have experienced similar issues. As an alternative, you can also try to setup your tracker as a new device, don’t forget to select “Existing account” during the process.

I hope this helps, keep me posted. Smiley Happy

Also, go into the exercise settings once you've logged in to the Fitbit website (not the app) and check all the various modes are ticked to appear on the screen. Actually, rather than a tick, they have sliders to turn on/off.

I got mine today and am having the exact issue as well. I have tried all things listed here and none of them have worked.  The only way I can go thru the menu is to tap.  The button only brings up the hr and exercise. Help!!

My first Charge 2 had this fault and after 45 mins on the phone to Customer support (4different people), they couldn't solve it so they sent a replacement.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @KKNinn, it’s great to see you around!

If you’ve already tried all of the steps mentioned in my previous post and the steps @designbod provided as well to try to resolve this, I do recommend that you contact the Customer Support team for further assistance with this, and they will let you know how to proceed.

I hope this helps. Robot Very Happy

Welcome here my friends @designbod @trodier @KKNinn @Latteloco! If you guys have tried what @DavideFitbit suggested, I'd recommend doing what @designbod did by contacting customer support

They'll do a deeper investigation and see where the issue is coming from. Don't forget to mention the steps you've done so far to avoid getting the same ones.

Have a great day guys!

So I just got off the phone with customer service and she had me uninstall, reinstall )even though I had done those things) and then she said that the home button is not supposed to bring up the menu items that it say s it should. And that is fine I guess but it is not advertised this way and I would much rather push the home button for those stats than to tap. I'm kinda at a loss for words!!

I'm using an iPhone and mine are all checked. So that wasn't my problem. Still no working correctly.

Have you also tried to select the options on your PC Dashboard @KKNinn? If after tried that, the issue persists, I would suggest you to contact Fitbit Support again, explain them what you have done so far. They will take a look into your account and choose an option to get you back on track.

Let me know the outcome!

@Latteloco Are you still having trouble with your Charge 2? If so, I would recommend that you:

1. Open the Fitbit App and click the "Account" button.

3. Click the Charge 2 tile.

4. Click "Customize Display".

5. Make sure that the stats that you want displayed on your tracker are checked and sync your Charge 2 for the changes to take effect.

@KKNinn Did you sync your tracker afterwards? If you modify any of your tracker's settings, you should sync your tracker afterwards so the changes implemented.

Restarting your tracker should also help too. Keep me posted!

I had this problem. Nothing worked. I rebooted my Charge 2 several times in accordance with the Fitbit advised procedure. No joy. I filled in a webform enquiry to Fitbit but I am still awaiting a reply. I finally tried deleting the device from my account and then putting it back. To my amazement the Menu button worked. I will now try to change the menu items
