Charge 2 button stuck

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For the last few days my charge 2 is going through all my menu options on its own as if the button is stuck. The display has also started to almost shrink down from the top and bottom. Idk what’s happening I hope it’s not on its last leg...

I’m having a similar issue, without the screen size changing. It’s as if the button is held down and now notifications are turning on and off over and over again. Woke me up in the middle of the night. Is there any fix?

Best Answer

I had similar issue on charge 2 button, not able to access all the menu, sad to say that fit bit has no repair center and I have to leave with it.

Hi there,

since I have the same problem (button stuck), could you please tell if there is something that can be done to fix it?

Thank you.

Hi CKonto,

Basically, the issue is not been fix and as per Fit bit customer service, they don’t have repair center, as such nothing can be done since Im out of warranty.

BuddyC

Hello again! Welcome aboard @CKonto. Thanks for your reply @BuddyC.

@CKonto If your device buttons aren't working, you may be able to remove dust or dirt by gently using a toothpick around the button. If this does not improve the button performance, you can try to clear debris using canned air. Hold the tracker at arm's length and spray once to loosen any dirt or dust that may have accumulated around the button. Please let me know how it goes. You can take in consideration this information too @BuddyC since your device is outside our warranty scope. Give it a try and let me know if this help you. Thanks for your reply and sharing your experience.

Let me know if you have any additional questions guys, I'll be around.

My Charge 2 keeps flashing between notification on and notification off.  I’ve reset it three times, to no avail.  Is it possessed?  I can’’t switch to any other screen.

Hello - I'm having the same issues as well, toggling between notifications on/off. If I hold the button in for a few seconds I can get it to the home screen, but as soon as I let go of the button, same on/off issue. I've reset and re-synced at least 5 times to no avail. Has anyone been successful in solving this issue?

Best Answer
Fitbit has no repair center in my country aside from asking user to reset,
no other option we can do but to leave with it especially when your
warranty already expired.

Mine is doing the same but has now turned off and will not power back up despite having 96% charge

Not a common situation....yet there are at least 5 people just in this thread (and many other users on other posts) that are experiencing the same problem.

My device is out of warranty by 4 months and like others have said, fitbit wash their hands of you. There is no fix for this, unless you want to take the device apart yourself (which I am going to do).

I would never buy a Fitbit again given the customer service and the device only lasting 2 years. The Mi Band looks like a good idea at a fraction of the price! Exactly the same product.

I am having the same issue with my Charge 2. It started at 5AM. Toggling between notification on and off. I used a paper clip to clean around the button for dirt and debris. It stopped the toggling for an hour and now it is back at it. HELP!!

Best Answer

My Charge 2 is doing the exact same thing. Notifications on and off. Has anyone been told how this can be fixed?
