Charge 2 cracked screen

Has anyone else experienced there Fitbit suddenly, seemingly overnight, developing a crack down the screen as if the inside is trying to burst out? I know it is out of warranty as I have had it nearly 2 years but surely they should last longer than this. My wife had the same happen to her Alta HR and Fitbit agreed to replace it despite saying it was not covered. Is there any way to get the screen replaced?

I called and they emailed me a 25% discount.  I purchased my Charge 2 in January of 2017.  I'm just curious as to why your discount is 50% when you stated earlier that your Fitbit was 2 years old and my discount is 25%.

Hi @Sybil0702, I can’t say why there is a difference in support other than the warranty period and that my device was within the 2 year limited warranted period having being bought in July 2017.

I noticed yesterday that I had a large crack down the middle of my screen as well. I have loved my Fitbit and wear it everyday. To my knowledge I have not hit the face on anything. I’m very disappointed in Fitbit’s design as this seems to be a fairly common problem.

@DJteach Welcome! It's great to see you around!

@Sybil0702 Support does follow the guidelines listed in the warranty so if your device is outside the warranty period they won't be able to replace it. Still thank you for sharing your feedback.

@Grazzh The European Union and the Uk have a two year warranty. You can read more about it in the link above.

@DJteach I have created a ticket so Support can further assist you via email.

Let me know how it goes.
