I received a big shock from my Charge 2 and am afraid to put it back on. Solutions or recommendations? I sync to my Android phone.

Let me help you with your Charge 2. This is odd and not an expected behavior. For this please let our Support team know about it. I noticed that you already have a ticket with Support so keep working with them to find a solution.
