My fitbit charge 2(purchased in Mar 2017) suddenly started showing crazy white lines on the display and then after an hour or so the display went blank. I have tried the steps to restart by connecting the charger and pressing hte button for few seconds, but no luck. It still syncs with my mobile device but is almost useless with no display.

This has literally just happened to my Fitbit, charge 2, in the last hour. White Vertical lines flashing up every few secs. I’ve then connected it to the charger to see if this would clear it and it hasn’t. Connected it to the app and it’s synced my steps, even the ones I couldn’t see. Unlike Richard. I’ve then cleaned it using a screen wipe and the little plastic square covering the chip in the back of the watch has just fell away in a few pieces. So I think the plastic or rubber has perished. The chip is now exposed but absolutely nothing on the screen display currently.
In hindsight, I could tell there was something not quite right over the last two weeks as the digital display started showing a line gap. The heart rate monitor was also being intermittent. The display has since went from one line to about 5, until today, when it’s died completely.

I had plugged my charge 2 in this morning and went to put it on but no display. The app shows fully charged and synced. I tried the reset but still no display. Please help.
