Charge 2 display stopped working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've browsed other answers and have done the following to try to troubleshoot but still not working:

1. Tried turning it off, but since I can't see the display, I can't tell if it turned off.
2. I changed the clockface using my desktop account
3. Cleaned the back of tracker and the charger ports.

It is recharging and still logging steps. Green lights on back.

What else can I do?

I have the same problem -  and being technology challenged I can’t find my way around supposed interventions as there is nothing specific

I don't see any offers coming from Fitbit to correct the situation. I suppose there is a time period over which the device becomes obsolete.  I've had mine 5 years or so and the device had to be replaced - don't recall why, but that was a one-time offer. I did get my husband a Fitbit which he has never used. Time to suggest he give it to me. Interestingly, though I can't see the face, the Fitbit does track sleep and activity; but is otherwise worthless.

Hello @dawn44455 and others and welcome to the Community.  The Charge 2 is an older model that was discontinued in 2018.  I'm sorry, but I think you have a screen failure that can happen with older devices.

Thanks, LZeeW, even if your reply would seem, sadly, to have inescapable
financial implications for all of us!

I have the same problem 😑

Same for me. This seems to have happened to a lot of people simultaneously. Possibly something to do with the app update.

Not sure what is happening as I try to respond to the above notes. My Fitbit does collect data and reminds me on my phone it is time for bed. I cannot use it as a clock/watch but have my cell phone for that. I don't think I need to go to the expense of replacement as that is what I believe might be the problem (or expectation). Thanks for information and advice. Keep walking, keep eating, keep sleeping and finding out how little sleep most of us are gettingl

Rather bizarrely, my display has now reappeared. I wondered if I had left
the tracker charging for too long the last time I did that, and then
realised that, although the display had disappeared, the two green lights
on the back were still flashing. So I synchronised with the app, and
discovered that, although there was no display, it was still recording the
data each day. I carried on using it until the lights stopped flashing, at
which point I re-charged it again. The display remained invisible, but the
data continued to be captured. Two days later, the display reappeared!

So I've no idea what happened, but it now seems o.k. For what it's worth,
when I had run out of ideas about how to make it work, I did pray over it
at one point! You could always try that if you're desperate. Be careful,
though - if it works for you as well you might end up needing to revise
your worldview! Good luck with it. David.

P.S. Not clear whether this is just going to you, or if it's being posted
in the chat. If the latter's not happening, I don't know where to do
that. If you do, perhaps you'd be kind enough ... Ta.

Thanks! I found mine still recorded information too. I’ve since bought a
second hand one for £10 to replace the other one but will keep it to see if
it starts working again. My theology won’t let me pray over it 😂
