Charge 2 - huge spike in steps

My Charge 2 has recently started registering massive spikes in steps. It will suddenly jump up 10,000-80,000 steps in a 15 minute interval.

 

Anyone else experiencing this or can advise how to fix it?

I dont know if this got resolved, but my Charge 3 is doing this as well. Practically everyday at 1245 to 1PM I get like a 25k bump in steps, all in those 15 mins 🧐

I got this last night with my Versa. 24,598 step between 22:30-22:45. I've now been granted badges I most definitely did not earn.

So, I finally figured it out on my end. It was during the times where my phone would do it's daily restart for "maintenance" (Android Phone). I turned off my phones sync in the Fitbit app (so now only my watch is synced, not my phone and my watch) and I haven't had an obnoxious amount of steps added since. It's been about a month now and no extra spikes. Hope this helps. 😄
