Charge 2 incorrect steps sync'd for challenges

Hey, pretty new to fit bit but I've been included on weekend warrior & workplace challenges.

On both the number of steps ive actually done per day dont add up to the number of steps given as my total for the challenges... ie today (monday) I did 13583 but challenge has only registered 8998, at weekend it missed out circa 3k steps!

I synced loads & logged out app & back in but no change...

Help how can I fix this? Tia 🤔

If you have folks who are in different time zones and countries- steps that you do before the official challenge starts or after may not count towards the challenge. For example, I get invited to a challenge with folks who are in the UK. They are five hours ahead. My steps won't start to count towards my total until I am at the same start time as them. I get the extra hours on the back end, but if the majority of my steps I do before the challenge- it won't show up. I hope this makes sense... in a nutshell, your tracker is fine, it is the time of the challenge that is throwing things off.

Hi Emily thanks for this but we are all in the same location so I'm not sure this is the answer for this issue....

Am I doing something wrong or any other ideas are most welcome. I'm confused & annoyed my steps aren't being included 😣

no, you aren't doing anything wrong. I am still thinking it has something to do with time. That is the only thing it can be since your total feeds directly to the challenge. if you happen to do another one - can you screen capture what you see and share here? Maybe if we see the same thing you see, we can figure this out together...shoot the challenge and your app screen..

Just realised my pics attached to email weren't added. How do I add pics from my phone to the messages here?

if you are doing it from your phone you should be able to click on the photos option in the new reply post and attach them like you would any screen shot. If you are on your laptop you will need to email it to yourself to your laptop- save it somewhere- easiest is desktop and then click the photo and go through attaching.

There's no attachment button for the Pics, just a camera & it wants me to enter a load of info, size, dimensions, source at....

Also managed to click this is solved by accident but it's definitely not solved 🤦‍:female_sign:

Can't get pics to upload!

The app has the correct steps synced from my device. The device is fine.

The issue is the challenge doesn't have the same steps registered for me as show in the app dashboard for me.

In app it has 13582 steps but in challenge in app it only has 8998. How can data transfer between the app dashboard & challenge not be working?

Very confused....

your mark for solution didn't take so no worries there. I am on my laptop, if I click on the camera it asks me to drag or attach a photo.. you do not get that option? instead of dragging I clicked on the choose from file right below and then I have access to any pics that are stored on my laptop. I choose the one I want, click open and it loads it. it asks how big I want it to post and then does it..

It is easier to do it from your laptop...

in the meanwhile.. @Rich_Laue.. what do you think it might be if my time zone theory is wrong? you are good at these puzzles..

I'll try adding pics from my laptop tomorrow.
Meantime I've tried;
- clearing cache
- forgetting Bluetooth & re-connecting
- uninstalling app & reinstalling
- switching phone on/off
- logging out/in app
- resyncing
Challenge steps are still much less than actual steps taken & recorded as shown in the app in my login.
Any thoughts welcome! 😊
But it's almost 2am & I'm off to bed. Looking forward to your ideas. Tia x

I'm having the exact same problem. I set the challenge up, so it's in my time zone. I've done 8,000 steps yesterday an 20,000 today. Yet it has my weekend total at 16,000 but with an hour of the challenge still to go.
