Charge 2 - inherent manufacturing issues?

Hi, looking through these forums, amongst many others online, is it just me or is the charge 2 plagued with inherent manufacturing issues?

All these posts about cracked screens that have just happened and through no impact. All these posts about the bands that literally aren’t fit for purpose and last a few month at a time.

My charge 2 is about 3 year old, must have been through about 5 warranty claims for the bands that break in the same place EVERY time. I eventually replaced it with a third party band and it’s been fine, never had the issue that the genuine ones have had. Funnily enough.

Then there’s the cracked screen issue that just randomly happens, mine has had this for months and looking at the screen, there is not a mark on it, but a very thin crack down the edge of the screen. It hasn’t been hit or had any impact in all the time I have had it, suspected temperature issue?

One or two people having these issues, maybe classed as down to something they have done, but when it’s literally this many with the exact same issue then it’s clearly a manufacturing issue. Even out of warranty this should be covered by consumer law in the UK as these issues are clearly inherent to the product at manufacture.

These aren’t new issues to Fitbit, they are well aware of them, hence why they replace them so quickly at times, but once out of warranty they claim there’s nothing they can do. The volume of people with these issues clearly highlight the fault with the product and not a user problem
