Why is it the Charge 2 does not count my steps when I'm in a store like Walmart and pushing a cart?

Hey @mouseyzumba, it is cool to see new faces aboard! Well, let me explain to you that wrist Fitbit trackers count most of your steps based on the movement forward along with the movement of your arms so it is normal that the amount of steps will be affected if for example if you're pushing a stroller or shopping cart or doing non-step based activities. So in these cases, you might try putting your wrist-based tracker in your pocket so it may give you more accurate results.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes!

It works but it doesn't solve the problem if we do not have pockets.  As a female - many of my clothes do not have pockets.  They need to make a clip that works with HR.  Will it  count steps - - i don't need to have my heart rate when I'm pushing a cart.

Maybe wrap the band around your bra strap? Not the "classiest" look, but should still work 🙂

Actually I just tested it - walked with it in a clip and it counted steps
and matched my other counter. . It synced with the app when I got back so
I guess I'll use the clip and hope it continues to be accurate! Bra strap
would work too. . .alternate option.
Thanks!

I always strap my Fitbit on my leg when I go yo Walmart or any store that I’ll know I’ll be pushing a cart. I use a twist tie to make it bigger. It’ll count every step.

I just put mine round my ankle and it counts steps and logs my heart rate 👍🏼

Smart. my band doesn't fit around my ankle, so I tuck mine into my bra with the sensor facing the skin so it get's heart rate. Of course not everyone wears a bra. LOL
