Charge 2 missing a day after syncing

I worn my Chsrge 2 over the weekend. Did not have my android.  When I returned at the end of  the weekend and initated a sync from the app, today's information was fine, missing yesterday's information.  Information for the day I left (day of last sync,) was also fine (not sure if complete).  Must I sync and of everyday to maintain data for every day?

You should not have to sync every day. Your tracker will remember 7 days of detail data and up to 30 days of daily totals. 

Removing the tracker from your account, could result in loss of data.
