I go to the gym 3 days a week. This week it only tracked on Monday but nothing on Wednesday. Anyone know how I can fix it or do I just have to deal with it

@helpmeplease65 A warm welcome to our Community!
Let me help with your Charge 2 not detecting your exercise. What type of exercise are you doing and for how long? Are you moving your arms during this exercise? Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and record the activity itself. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.
Let me know how it goes.

I'm having a similar issue. My charge 2 shows I have so many active minutes showing on the device but it's now showing my exercise (which was sustained for at least 15 minutes) on the app. I only have today's exercise on there because I put that I was in a workout.

@Bree23 if you are depending on auto track, was the exercise a type that can be auto tracked?
Or did you manually start the exercise.

At least one day a week, today I had no sleep score, so now that is not recording.
Whole lot of problems since those December updates.

Yes it's on auto tack. It used to puck it up but suddenly doesn't seem to want to although active minutes show up on my actual device.

Same exact exercise everyday....some days it just won't record as exercise. I am walking, some days it reads as elliptical. No excuse, one day it showed 44 minutes exercise but only 29 minutes activity. All since those late 2019 updates.

@273217 sleep score will not come without sleep stages, was your sleep recorded as simple or with stages. If simple, what does the app say the problem was?
I don't understand that it shows 44 minutes of exercise(activity) but only 29 minutes of activity. Do you mean 29 active minutes. Not all activity minutes will/should be classified as active.

@helpmeplease65 you let fitbit decide, but what type of exercises do you do in the gym. Are they being done long enough in time for them to be detected? Def sup 15 minutes for most.

I have had similar issues the past few days. Sunday I did a lot of walking, and even did 15 minutes on a treadmill, though my steps were recorded, I only apparently did 14 active minutes. Yesterday, I had a flight, so was walking around a lot, plus in the evening played football for over an hour. I did over 16,000 steps all day, but only recorded 13 active minutes. I recorded my football on Strava, and it showed I did over one hour of activity, and walked/ran over 4kms. The Fitbit never used to be like this, and I am not doing anything different whilst wearing it, so something is wrong.

@MrMarcus2017 was your walks recorded as walks.Treadmill is not an auto detectable exercise, you will need to manually start it.
As for Active minutes, this really has nothing to do with recorded exercises, only the level of your activity. This could be during or not during an exercise.

Same problem here. Exercise not recorded today. Last 10 days I had 3 days where I had far more recorded exercise time than activity time? HOW do you walk, get credit for hour and seventeen minutes exercise and only 29 minutes activity. I still say friends don't let friends buy one. Every update a new problem.

@273217 what mode are you using to record your walk?
You state that it is bit recording your exercise, but then mention 29 minutes of activity was recorded. Or are these 29 active minutes?

Active minutes are different from exercise minutes. Your heart data will show the a five minutes.
