For the past four years, in using a Fitbit device, and before the most recent software update, it took me 10,200 steps to reach 5.0 miles. Now, after the May/June 2019 software update it takes me 11,200 steps to reach 5.0 miles. That's a 10% variation. Please re-calibrate your new software release. Thank you.

@Jimbo826 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you with your distance calculation. The distance is calculated by multpliyng your steps with your stride length. You can help correct this by entering your stride length manually by following these instructions.
Let me know how it goes.

I was able to manually calculate and enter a default step distance. What’s sad is that the software is no longer able to do the calculation automatically after the software upgrade.
What’s sadder is that no one at Fitbit listened to my problem and took the initiative to understand WHY the software doesn’t calculate the step distance automatically like it used to.
Thus is is the third issue that I have had with my Fitbit, and every time the attitude is that it’s not Fitbit’s problem, rather it’s my problem. Unless this attitude changes, then when my Fitbit stops working, I will find a better product from a company who cares about their customers by standing behind their product.
