Charge 2 not charging

Had not used my charge 2 since August and thought it was time to pull it back out. Attached it to the charged and plugged in into a wall USB plug. It vibrated then looked like it was charging. When I went back to check it it was black. Thought maybe it was the USB plug so tried on my computer. It began charging again and after some time looked to be fully charged. I took it off the charger and it went black and hasn't responded since. I have tried cleaning both the device and the charge as per the instructions as well as the 4 sec reset and still nothing. I am at a loss....
