Charge 2 not counting all my steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was suspicious about my total steps registered at the end of day.  Then again yesterday.  Since I have two fitbits...the Charge 2 and the Alta...I switched to use the Alta during the day.  Also while I was on the treadmill yesterday...it registered I went 3 miles and the fitbit only showed 2.  I’ve been working out on the treadmill now for a few years and know if I go a flat speed of 3 miles an hour...my steps are x amount.... yesterday they were off by over 3000 steps.  So, that being said...it’s NOT registering all my steps.  TodY I decided to put both Fitbits on one on Right hand one on left hand.  Yep...the charge reads 1200 steps...the Alta reads 1328.   I started with both fitbits synced to the same amount.  I also did a RESET on the Charge 2.  Can anyone help me?    I sync to an iPhone XR.

Thank you

Hi Ricardo,

I'm experiencing the same thing. My Fitbit Charge 2 records half the steps than any other device I use? Is there anyway to fix this?

I did a little test when I was on the treadmill. I used to not hold onto the rails but recently I had foot surgery and I’m just getting back on my feet. I also have scoliosis which is a curvature of the spine. It causes me pain in my lower back and hip when I walk. So, I noticed that it definitely wasn’t counting my all steps on the treadmill two days in a row. The next time I walked on the treadmill I watched my fitbit as I walked every 5 minutes or so. I also wore my Alta on my right wrist...my Charge 2 on the left. When I got done..I had more steps with the Alta than the Charge 2. Now, I was holding onto the handles in front of me with both hands. Next time I went I experimented by holding on with just the right hand and I pumped the left arm as I walked. Has anyone else noticed this? Please respond!!!

Thanks,
Faru

My steps stopped synching on Friday July 24. I'm in a step challenge at work. This is not good! Who can help with this?
