Over the last few days my Fitbit is not tracking my sleep probably. It seems to show only 2 hours or last night 4 hours.

@helenedwards42 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your sleep detection. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.

I am having the same problem with my Charge 2 not detecting all my sleep. I worked fine Saturday (Nov. 9) recording my sleep. Sunday night into Monday morning no sleep was recorded, Monday night into Tuesday morning 1 hr 16 minutes of sleep recorded, then last 3 hours 38 minutes of sleep was recorded. I have had my Charge 2 for over 2 years and never had this problem. I wear it on the same wrist, the same and have changed nothing.

Frustrating isnt it. I too have had my Fitbit for quite a number of months and until recently have not had any problems.
I have restarted my fitbit and guess what only ahd 2 hours sleep last night!!! not sure what has changed in my sleep pattern to warrant my fitbit not working correctly.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried resetting my fitbit and had the same experience last night.
Something has changed in the technology to cause this problem as until recently my fitbit has been fine.
BTW: i know i can log sleep manually but if i did that there is no need for the fitbit is there?

I'm having the same issue, it recorded it once. How do you restart your Fitbit? Did they give you any helpful tips??
Any help/advice would be awesome!

For the Fitbit Charge 2 you are supposed to hold down the button for 4 seconds and the fitbit logo shows up and it restarts. However, this has never worked for me. I haven't gotten any helpful tips from support as of yet.

In the Fitbit app on my phone, I deleted my Charge 2 then set it up again as a new device. Last night the fitbit recorded my sleep.

Okay I will try that but will it lose all my progress and data up to this point?

I’ve been having the same issue after I updated to ios13.2.2 last week. Fitbit CS has tried a number of options including restarting my charge2 several times as well as changing several settings. The only thing they have come up with is to change my band (which I’m not going to do as the original one delaminated beyond usable).

Same here!! All fine until last night, now not logging any sleep. Restarting made no difference. Clearly a wider issue rather than it being down to individual devices not working?!

It will not lose your progress or data.
