Hello,

 

My Fitbit recently stopped showing  details for sms messages and now isn't showing the sms at all. It still shows notifications for incoming calls. I've read a bunch of threads on troubleshooting the issue but I can't get it to work!!  I'm not sure what changed or why they stopped. Help please!!

Let me help you with your missing text notifications and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. This could be related to an issue that the team is currently investigating but hopefully they will find a solution soon for all affected users. Still I wish to know which phone are you using? Is it compatible? You can try the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device. 
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. 
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a Motorola Droid Z Force 2 and I have updated the OS to Android 9. It's just odd to me that the texts and who messages were being displayed before and now they're not. Only notification that comes through is for phone calls . I will try your suggestions and get back to you. Thanks again!

I can't swipe my watchface to reboot it as I currently am not getting notifications either.
