Charge 2 not setting up

I've had my charge 2 for a few years...recently switched phones and trying to set up. I keep reaching the stage where it says setup taking longer than expected (see attached screenshot). It is being detected by the phone and yes the phone is compatible. I've already restarted the Charge 2 as well as the phone, and switched bluetooth on and off. Let me help you setting up your Charge 2 and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Try clearing the bluetooth connection on your phone by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. 
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Thank you for your response. I've already tried what you suggested with no
luck. The Charge 2 is being detected, and I'm getting the code to put in,
but after that it just says connecting.
