I recently had to erase my iPhone and start with a fresh OS. After doing so, the bluetooth settings on the phone have NO entries anymore, meaning there is no way to get the phone to "forget" the FitBit.
To reconnect my fitbit to my phone, it has to be discoverable, but the phone doesn't see it. I have successfully reconnected other bluetooth devices to this phone today, but FitBit refuses to show up as a choice on my phone.
In iPhone settings for fitbit, bluetooth is turned on. Multiple times I have put the fitbit in the charger and pressed the side button to reset the FB. I get the FB logo and the vibration, but the thing still won't pair with my phone. How do I fix this???
Thanks.

@sailorlady Welcome! It's great to see you around!
Happy to hear that you were able to fix the issue and thank you for letting us know about it. In general the sync is handled by the Fitbit app so even if you don't see the tracker on the bluetooth list you can set it up via the Fitbit app.
I'll be around.
