Charge 2 not syncing or recording exercise/sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my Charge 2 for just over a year and was itself a replacement for an Alta that went wrong.

Now my Charge 2 didn't vibrate this morning despite being fully charged and synced.

Is this a normal fault that develops after 12 months of use - this happened with the Alta as well.

I have done all the normal restarting and charging activity they ask you to do and have emailed them.

Also what are the rights under the warranty?

Many thanks

@peaches1967 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear about your Charge 2 not syncing, recording your exercise/sleep or vibrating. Did your tracker vibrated when you restarted it? For syncing issues please follow these instructions.

For sleep I would like to explain that your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time.

Regarding the activity detection, your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and record the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.

Finally you can check the warranty here.

Let me know how it goes.
