Same thing is happening to me now. Ready to pitch it and get an Apple watch.

Same issues. Ever since update having multiple issues. When I tried to force sync on app is says devide not found. Device not syncing. I have tried all suggestions. Restarted phone, nothing. Turned off bluetooth and turned back on, nothing. Force stopped the app, nothing. Unpaired the device and when I went to repair it, it no longer shows up and an option to pair. Every time I try your suggestions my problem gets worse.
I,m at a loss

My Fitbit charge 2 is no longer syncing. It finds the tracker and I enter the pairing code then nothing happens. This started happening from the middle of August 2019
Devices
Fitbit Charge 2
Android
Xiaomi MiA1
I have tried everything recommended. Turned both devices on and off updated to the latest software. I also enter the 4 digits, then it say not working

My watch will not sync at all at with any device since the update. I've tried everything. Remove the app, remove the device. Now the device will not be paired. It gets the four digits and then i just sits waiting until a timeout is reached.
What the h..l have you guys at FitBit done? An IPhone 3g stunt to promote new sales? No device, computer, Galaxy S8, Nokia 9, can pair with the watch now. The Nokia 9 is not really supported but works if you let it sync all day (until the new update that is). Please help to reset my watch!

The sync is not working properly on my device either. This has been going on for the last 1-2 weeks since the app update. I have had the phone and charge 2 for a while so it should not be a hardware issue. Something in the update changed the ability for the device to sync properly. Sometimes it works and other times it will not, however, the refresh on the app dashboard is fine.
This is really getting frustrating. I hope they notice all these different posts and create a fix soon!

I have the latest update - charge 2 is still not staying in sync with my phone and text messages aren't coming through properly. It isn't convenient to have to restart my phone/Bluetooth every time I want my fitbit to sync.

I contacted support and the only answer was that they don't take any responsibility for their updates if they crash your unit if i'ts older than 2 years. They did an "Apple 3g" and said that I must buy a new unit from them even though it was an action they did that crashed the clock. The legal implications of this is very unclear according to my lawer since they sold it to a electronics company in my country that in turn sold it to me. They did however accept the sale and responsibility of if as they submitted new udates on a regular basis to keep it working. It will be interesting to see what happens with issues like this since they get more and more common. My watch is toast and will not be usable ever again. Not very impressed...

I also got the "new, sleek" application update that managed to kill my Charge 2 once and for all. I had it a few years, went through many phones - but my Fitbit device never had problems syncing. The last update buried it. The tracker either cannot be found, sync takes forever, sync fails, etc. Restarted, resetted, removed, reinstalled - no joy. It worked fine on this particular phone to the exact moment when the "new, sleek" bollocks came around and ruined everything. "New" me hole, what was wrong with the old version, apart from fact that it just worked as designed?

A golden rule: if any company breaks/slows down my device through a software update they can be 100% sure I will never, ever go near that brand again.
