Charge 2 not syncing

My Charge 2 has been very unpredictable for a little while and doesn't always pick up steps. It has now stopped recording exercise and sleep. On my app it is now displaying as 0 steps on Sunday,  Monday  and Tuesday even though I did more than 10,000 and posted a screenshot to my gym page for a competition on all 3 days. I have tried to reset but it won't reset. Any ideas what to do next?

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Yes your tracker will need to sync in order to see all the data on your account. You can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Thanks for the reply.  I tried this and also deleted and reinstalled the app. It seemed to work for a while but back to no record.  I think the issue is with the actual watch as it is unpredictable at recording steps. My morning walk with my dog used to be 3,000 plus and now is 1,800 on a good day. It's the exact same route. I've had the device for 2 years so maybe just need to update.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Just got off with fitbit help desk and they stated it is a known problem with syncing. Said being worked on but no idea when would be resolved. Mine last synced July 3rd.
