Charge 2 not syncing

Does not sync since arriving in Switzerland.  Fitbit still counts steps but not sleep patterns

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing. You can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Regarding sleep stages you may not get them for the following reasons:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I am not sure what I did that made it work again. It might have been that my phone upgraded at 2am and I checked all the settings (which seemed OK) but it’s now working fine. I’ll keep your instructions in case ....... thanks anyway.
