I've had a fit but charge 2 for about a week now. Something is wrong with its sleep tracking feature. So far of the 7 nights I've worn the Fitbit it has only tracked sleep for 2 of them. I have seen posts where it was a sensitivity setting messing up the time asleep but mine has no data at all for most days.
Hopefully someone can asssit with getting this feature working otherwise the Fitbit is getting returned.
Thanks.

Seriously? I'm glad there's an answer but now we don't just have to reboot device once and force quit app 2times before doing that and 2 times after to get heart rate back on I have to reboot it 3 times? This is the buggiest electronic device I've ever heard of. Kept getting responses from other threads that they gave up and got an Apple Watch. I don't want all that. Customer service is phenomenal before you buy a device. Afterwards you get letters back with links telling you how to do exactly what you've done.
Thank God for the Fitbit community or I would have returned long ago.

@Steph_110 all the information above may be found in youtlr trackers user manual, have you downloaded it yet?
Go to the bottom of this page, click on the word help, niw click the picture of your tracker. You are in Fitbits interactive online extensive user help guide.
Where a word or phrase can be searched, and a pdf copy of the user manual can be downloased.

I've met 4 people that since Christmas have given up ther AW's for tge Blaze. Most because of tge Battery life, or the the AW did way more than they needed and was bulkier. None have mentioned having problems with either unit.

I got it figured it out , at least for last night , tracking was right on . Though to be sure no one puts what I'm about to tell you this simple or in my case, ,I've never been able to discern by reading previous points to get the fix .
Plug in the device into the charging doc, then hold the side button in for 8 seconds or until you see the Fitbit emblem.. That's it . Check next morning. I never got an email from Fitbit but it's probably the layoffs.

I have the Fitbit app on my laptop, which has Win10 as the OS. I want to notify Fitbit when I go to sleep, but all I get when I hit the + at the top of the sleep page is standard bedtime and wakening times, no option for the "going to sleep now" button. My wife runs Fitbit on an iPad and her app shows the "going to sleep now button". How do I get that to appear?

Fingaldon, I am having to note when I fall asleep. Either I have vague idea or take screen shot showing time right as drift of. Next AM go in and edit time fell asleep. The data is in there and will show me asleep all night with maybe up once or twice. If I play with it and go back too far it will show awake. I don't know why this is happening now, but this will correct it.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.
However, I was having similar issues in the past. Not tracking sleep, not being able to consistently getting my jogging GPS to track , as well , there was a times that my steps were not recording properly.
Not sure if my solution will work for you.
But ive had tremendous success. Everything on my Fitbit Charge 2 works flawlessly now.
i started to wear my Fitbit one hole looser 2- 21/2 fingers above my wrist. Each night while I take my shower I give it a charge. Maybe 5-10 minutes.
2-3 times a week while charging, I would hold down the button until the Fitbit " Rebooted"
the reboot seems to help quite a bit .
Give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

Thank you for the info, I actually think I found a way fingers crossed to track sleep. Lmao now if I could only remember how I did it!! Somewhere, some how on my phone app I did start sleep, and I left my phone on all night, along with my tracker. It worked, even though my phone said it was not able to track sleep it did. Unfortunately I'm very restless person and I'm never completely still for any length of time. Even when I try to sleep, I'm usually twitching my foot or something. I tried the loosening the tracker I tried resetting it neither worked. Hope this helps.
