i got change 2 Fitbit. I can't get any of phone calls or notifications to my change 2 fitbit. How I can fix it ?

I have a charge 2. I used to get notifications for texts (and I could read several words from the message) and I got notifications for phone calls (and who was calling). I don't get them anymore. I googled how to do it, but the call &/or text notification option isn't present. Where did it go?

I was having the same problem with my Charge 2 not communicating with my Samsung Note 8. Now suddenly all notifications are we working as they should. I didn't do anything (I had given up trying).  I'm guessing it was a correction to the software.
