My Charge 2 disconnected from my app early October and it will not reconnect. I have followed all suggestions in the forums many times (each) and none work. When reconnecting the device in the app, I get to the point of adding the 4 digit code, which indicates the device is found, but then it will not connect.
Looking for a solution.... I have tried...
- Turning Bluetooth on / off (yes, Charge 2 removed from bluetooth devices)
- Restarting phone
- Uninstall / Reinstall app
- Rebooting Charge 2
... and all of the above combined.
The tracker is fully charged, no other trackers nearby.
Fitbit firmware 22.58.00
Phone: Pixel 3, Android version 11
Fitbit staff - have you noticed how many recent posts there on this same Charge 2 topic? Possibly an indication of a device issue, not user?

Also having the same issue since a few days with my pixel 3a xl and charge 2. My charge 2 will connect with my iphone, but not anymore with my google phone.
Have tried all the steps, including the suggested work arounds posted here, but no luck.

The connection to a non-pixel phone then pairing with pixel phone worked.
Yet because I am already getting sync issues like others being reported to the forum, I am thinking this is only a temporary fix.

Also having the same as everyone else on a Pixel with a Charge 2 that stopped syncing mid-October...
Battery now barely lasts the day.
Can't sync.
Can't re-pair, fails after 4 digit code.
Pixel also stopped syncing with my child's Ace 2.
Given some people can sync with other phones and my Ace doesn't sync I think it's a Google issue which is why Fitbit aren't being too helpful.

I share the complete sentiment with OP and have had the exact experience that was described. After using another device to remove and re-add my Charge 2 to my account I was able to have it "sync" with my Pixel 3. Like it would pull some stats but no live heart rate info in the app, notifications were broken and sync wouldn't ever work automatically, but instead I had to open the app each time I wanted to "sync".
Today, however, I fired up my Fitbit app and now it wouldn't even sync at all. So I removed it again and readded with another device but this time when I went back to my Pixel 3 and opened the Fitbit app I was asked by the Android OS if I wanted to pair with the Charge 2, which was a good sign I think. I tapped Pair but it didn't seem like sync was working. So I completely removed the Charge 2 from my account again and readded it right from the Pixel 3. When it showed me the 4 digit pairing code I entered it into the app and it was finally accepted and the app moved on to the final steps.
I've begun receiving the "You're almost there" type notifications again since I did this earlier today and call, text and calendar notifications appear to be working once again.
OP, you can stop reading here. That's all I can offer relating to your issue but I did want to point out that last year, beginning around the same time and ending around the same time, Charge 2 users had a different type of issue with our trackers. Here is a post of mine from that same thread shortly before Fitbit started to resolve that issue.
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Text-Msgs-only-show-Sender-s-name-RESOLVED/m-p/3814554#
And here are my thoughts about it last year:
And it was resolved then. As it appears to be now. Or at least it looks like Fitbit is doing something on their end.
BTW, I did not receive a Fitbit app update before this started working. I opened my Fitbit app and it all happened on its own.

I'm having the same issue. I've had sync issues between my charge 2 and my Google pixel 3 since mid October. I have tried all the suggested fixes. Now the latest is that my charge 2 won't pair to my Bluetooth or the app. I keep getting to the 4digit code it says connecting then minutes later it says connection failed. It's so frustrating because I depend on the sleep tracking and calorie burn records to help manage my health.

Hi,
I have got also Charge2 and I had the same problem. I tried all recomendations (reset, reinstallation, ....) many times without success. As last step I red this thread and i found a solution.
I did this steps:
1. remove Charge2 from the FitBit app - unpair
2. unistall the FitBit app - to be sure that pairing was really removed and be sure that you will get latest version in final step
3. reset Charge2 (8 sec pressing button when pluged into charger) to be sure that the Charge is clean
4. now most important step ! Get an older Phone (with Android <10)
5. install FitBit app on the OLD Phone
6. Log-on with your account
7. make pairing of your Charge with the OLD Phone. It took a bit longer by me but was finally done.
8. now uninstall FitBit app from the OLD Phone. You do not need it any more and you are sure that your OLD Phone does not disturb a bluetooth communication later.
9. Install FitBit app on your NEW Phone.
10. Log-on with your account
11. Wait a while. Charge2 will work with your NEW Phone in few seconds/minutes.
I did this steps and now the Charge is working as never before. Even notifications are received well.

It's crazy the fix is to sync with another device but it worked for me too.
I guess there was a Fitbit update that broke sync to only pixels, syncing to a different device must have pulled a newer update to the Fitbit where they fixed the pixel issue.
If that's true, it's a shame nobody got acknowledgement on support of this.

No response from Fitbit on this at all is ridiculous, as is having to use another (older) device to sync. Even if it does work. It's not like the Pixel is an uncommon device.

I just wanted to share an update from my 'success' before. It was a very very short lived solution. The Charge 2 only synced a few times, after that it didn't sync again. The Charge 2 is now back to not syncing again with either device.
Might be worth getting their attention on Twitter @FitbitSupport. I feel like this is an echo chamber. 'Other Charge Trackers' is the essentially the far corner of the basement, nobody important is visiting here.. No offense to the moderators, but it's beyond what they can help with except to provide the standard checklist.

I have spent two days uninstalling, reinstalling, turning off blue tooth, turning back on, all in order to try to pair my Charge 2 with my Google Pixel 3.
Now that I have found this forum it appears others have the same or similar issues.
However - I do not have another older device or alternative device to connect the Charge 2. Am I totally out of luck?

Has there been any update to this problem since the merger with Google or are we still owners of a dud fit Bit?

I'm having similar issues with not syncing. I thought the device was defective. It will not sync at all on my macbook - it keeps telling me to turn on bluetooth, but it is already on. On my phone, android, it gets past that, but just won't sync. Tried it on someone else's phone, got the same thing. Tried to download the app on my ipad and the ipad is too old. On my chromebook it syncs sometimes and others times not. I have to log out and restart or shut down and turn back on, sometimes it will sync, and sometimes not. However, my husband has Alta HR and his syncs ok. Sounds like it has to do with the latest update on the app. An older or less sophisticated phone or computer maybe the answer.

Dr.Pumpkin,
I replied to an earlier comment the following: "I'm having similar issues with not syncing. I thought the device was defective. I want to add that in every attempt to update the charge 2, it failed to connect. So I cannot update the device for it to work better with the newer fitbit app versions. (and btw, I thought the charge 2 had a timer feature, not just a stop watch, mine doesn't - maybe that is in the update... anyone know?)

Does not seem to be a apple problem but then I won't ever have their products again. What we are complaining about is the connection specifically to the Google Pixel 3. It never connects ever with the Pixel 3. Some have had success connecting to an iphone and then transferring to the Google phone but that is really inconvenient when no one you know has apple anything. We did not even get close to a new Fitbit ap as this has been a problem for a year now.
