Charge 2 registering extra steps

Every night just after midnight, my Fitbit goes off saying I have hit my 10000 steps. I sleep all day and work all night. I know from 10 - 12 I have not gotten that many steps in and doesn’t it reset at midnight?

Then within half an hour it say I have gotten another 10000 steps in. I have only had this for a year, can you tell me why it’s acting up now?

I just wanted to let you know that I have moved your post from the Charge 3 board to the Charge 2 board, since I think that here you will be able to see more related topics about this tracker.

Now about the steps issue you are experiencing, are you making sure to be properly syncing your tracker? If the issue is with syncing, I recommend following the instructions provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?.

Also, perform the following:

1. Put your device on your wrist.

2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.

3. Pause, then check your device to see your step count.
