Charge 2 stopped syncing after update

Hi, My Fitbit itself seems ok but when I sync to my FB App on my iPhone 8 it says: cleaning up, then syncing at refreshing, then says 3700 steps, then stops and says 2500 steps and the screen is now frozen to that incorrect info.  My reason for going on was to add a 3 mile bike ride to my Activity but I can't get past where it froze syncing at 80 percent.  Do I need to delete the app and install it again?  Please help.  Thanks!

Please do not delete the app. Your app must have gotten stuck on the update. I recommend following the steps of help article: Why can't I update my Fitbit device?
