Charge 2 stopped syncing and now won't even pair to my Android

Several days ago my Charge 2 suddenly stopped syncing. I tried every single step from the help article multiple times - turned Bluetooth on/off, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app with removing cache and storage, reset the tracker, removed the tracker from the app and tried pairing it again.

When I try to pair it again, it shows me the 4-digit PIN, then goes to "connecting" stage and freezes there. After some time it says "something went wrong" and offers to exit or try again. And it's an endless loop. The date and time are shown correctly, so it doesn't seem like this type of problem.

I also tried to pair it with other devices - my laptop and an old iPhone. When I pair it with a laptop, it finds the device, then shows it in the list with the "not connected" badge. When I tried pairing it with an old iPhone, it goes only to the stage "We found your tracker, connecting", not even showing the PIN.

How to make it work again?

And by the way, after I go through multiple loops of "connecting" and then press "exit", for some reason the tracker appears as paired in my Fitbit app, shows that it synced like 10 minutes ago (not true, no data there and it won't really sync) and also shows an empty battery sign, which is wrong, the tracker is connected to the power source and fully charged.

Somehow I managed it to pair from the dashboard, after trying to sync this "ghost" tracker that appeared in the app. It asked to pair the device, asked for all the permissions anew and seemed to pair successfully. But when I try to sync, it still won't sync, so we're back to stage 0.
