Charge 2 syncing problem with phone and Windows 10

Forgive me if this has already been posted. I find similar issues described here, but not exactly the same as mine.

  1. My Charge 2 is visible for pairing in Bluetooth on my Windows 10 laptop and Android 11 phone
  2. I have used it successfully with my phone for a couple of years. The last successful sync though was on 25th September. I *think* that is the date I upgraded my phone (Google Pixel XL2) from Android 10 to 11.
  3. The Charge 2 will not pair with my laptop, either directly from the Windows Control Panel, or via the Fitbit app
  4. It won't pair with my phone any more either.
  5. With the phone app, if I attempt to force a sync, it fails, ot at least ....
  6. Very occasionally a force sync attempt causes the app to get the current days data. However, I don't get any of the previous day's data that is missing.
  7. The next day, the same thing, but the previous day's data is gone from the app.
  8. Even though the Charge 2 has sent data to the phone app, the 'last synced' date is still 25 September.

I've tried uninstalling, re-installing the app (phone and PC), switching Bluetooth off and on (phone and PC), switching phone and laptop off and on, resetting the Fitbit in the cradle. Essentially, everything that is described in other topics here about Charge 2 sync and Android 11. However, the results are the same every time, as described above.

Summary: The Charge 2 is available for Bluetooth pairing, but will not pair (Windows 10 and Android 11). It occasionally sends data to the phone app if I force it, but the app still reports that it has not synced, and the last synced date is in September. It will not pair at all with Windows 10, either from the Windows Control Panel or the Fitbit app.

Yesterday, my Pixel XL2 received the Android 11 security update, dated 5th October 2020. Now all is syncing again in the app, but the Fitbit will not pair using Bluetooth, which is a little weird.

It appears therefore that this was an Android 11 issue.

Hopefully, the Android 11 update will fix the syncing issue for others posting here.

This issue is happening with me too, and I have tried all reboot techniques but my charge 2 isn't syncing with my phone
