Can I track a walk with gps? On my fitbit charge 2 there is no walk exercise to select. Only run, bike, treadmill and such. But no walk?

Hard to describe. I can see the screen with the various exercises on it.
I turned off the ones that I won't use (eg: elliptical). But I did not
have an option to remove them from the screen, nor did I see anything at
the bottom that said "Add new exercise."

I can only access from my phone - no computer.

After thinking about it, I started to wonder if "Walk" is the default
setting on the device - would make sense - and therefore isn't one of the
options on the devise for type of exercise one is doing (eg: running,
weightlifting...).

This option doesn't exist on my phone. I get the exercise shortcut but no plus sign.

@SunsetRunner, do you already have 7 exercises in the Exercise Shortcuts?  If so, you must delete one before you can add another - 7 is the maximum number of shortcuts you can have.

If you do not have 7 shortcuts, you should see a line at the bottom of the Exercise Shortcuts that you can click to add one or more, such as in this screenshot:

I tried your fix, removed all my exercise options and there is still no “walk” option. Any other ideas?

Having problems adding "Walk" to my 7 workouts on my charge 2. What do you mean "drag handles to reorder". And nothing happens when I try and swipe left on my watch to delete workout to add the "walk"

GOT IT! Thanks

If your Fitbit device has an Exercise menu or app, you can configure the exercises available on your device to show only the exercises that interest you. If a specific exercise isn’t available, we recommend choosing Workout as your exercise type.

To change or re-order exercises on your Fitbit device, choose a section below:
FITBIT APP FOR IOS
From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon (User-added image) > your device image.
Tap Exercise Shortcuts.
To add a new shortcut, tap Exercise Shortcut and select an exercise.
To remove a shortcut, swipe left on an exercise name, then tap Delete.

Can you explain how you added walk to your charge? Apparently, I am tech challenged! Thanks!

@LHE I'm not sure what phone you have, but the procedure is the same for them all, and explained in the post above your post.

The multisport mode is also explained in your user manual and in fitbits help docs.

@EllieJo you can use run for your walks, or by following the links in my post above. Or the instructions @slancia posted above. walk may be added to your trackwr, However only 7 exercises max may be added .

Hiya,

I can't see that this link directs you to instructions now? Is it still possible to track a walk with Gps?

Many thanks

Sorry @marniec09 I'm  not sure which link your referring to, or which model Fitbit you might have.

The ionic has built in GPS ans most of the other trackers will connect to and use the phone's GPS, so the answer most likely is yes you can use GPS.

We have a few help docs on this subject.
