My charge 2 hasn’t been counting floors for months now and I’m not sure what to do. I have tried plugging it into the computer and restarting it, I have tried resetting stride length, I’m not sure what else I can do.

Your Charge 2 tracks floors by detecting changes in air pressure through a small hole in the back of the tracker. If that hole becomes blocked it can stop tracking floors so it's worth trying a gentle clean, perhaps with an old toothbrush or, if you have one, a can of compressed air.

@Saracza A warm welcome to our Community!
Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't counting floors and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. As @SteveH explained your tracker uses it's altimeter to detect the variance in pressure and it will help to make sure it is clean and unblocked by water, sweat or debris. I suggest you start by cleaning the back of the device with cotton and rubbing alcohol then use compressed air at a distance to clear the altimeter's opening (check the image for reference). Finally restart it.
Let me know how it goes.

That did not seem to help and in fact it says I went up 2 floors today and I know for a fact I’ve been on the same level all day

I’ve been having the same issue! Restarted, cleaned numerous times. Nothing! I climb two flights, at least, everyday at work! It’s so frustrating when it doesn’t work how it’s supposed too.
