Charge 2 won't reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 2 is no longer responsive to tap. It won't let me get to stopwatch screen, or any screen outside of the home clock.

I have followed cleaning steps with no change.

I have attempted reset many times following steps listed on this page, but it will not reset. When I plug in, it goes to charging screen, then black. Pressing and holding button does not affect it, no vibration, no restart screen.

Any suggestions to get it to reset when the listed steps do not work?
Thanks!

@NattyLite Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't resetting and thank you for trying to fix this issue. Since you didn't specify what you did try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. Also use compressed air at a distance to clear the button area from any debris or dirt. After this, try to restart your device again and see how it behaves.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the follow up. None of the fixes worked so I was sent a replacement Charge 2.

I have new issues trying to set this up, as it keeps sending 4 digit code to OLD fitbit, and not sure how to rectify that, but I am going to post on the forum as I don't see my issue mentioned.

@NattyLite thank you for the update. I could see that you already got a reply from another mod so hopefully you were able to resolve your issue.
