Replacement Fitbit

Today I've received my replacement Charge 2, however I cannot sync it with my Samsung A5. I've removed the faulty device from the App and put it outside in my car, so as not to interfere, however the new one will neither sync via the Bluetooth, or with the App when trying to add a new device. I've had it charging all day, but the screen just shows a phone, with www.fitbit.com/setup running across the bottom of the screen. Ive also noticed that the pulse rate monitor green lights on the rear aren't flashing. I'm really at a loss as I've tried everything recommended, but to no avail.

Is the device you are trying to sync to a supported device?

You can find a list of compatible trackers here and here.

While the old one may have worked, it is not guaranteed. Can you log out of your account and try adding it from another device such as another phone or a PC? It still might work on your A5 after you log in again.

Thanks for your response, but I've given up. My phone is a 2017 A5, which worked with the Charge 2 that I had too replace due to the pixels in the screen malfunctioninb. I think I'm just going to call it a day and buy a Garmin. 👍

I am about ready to do the same thing. I have now received 2 different pebbles to replace my Charge 2. NEITHER of them have ever worked!  Since I was told to delete the original from my account in order to set up the replacements, which didn't work, I had to reinstall the original on my cell phone which I did not want to do. As a result, it no longer syncs on my laptop. The heart rate  also doesn't record properly on the app, which was the main reason I purchased the Charge 2 in the first place. Really frustrating!

Many threads on here. There must be hundreds if not thousands having the same problem.

No no satisfactory answers coming from anyone at Fitbit.

My previous Fitbit was replaced after the pixels malfunctioned, but that one would sync with my phone. The replacement device doesnt sync and my phone isn't on the list of compatible devices, which is strange. The replacement device also on shows the same screen despite rebooting it and the green lights underneath don't flash. I'm disappointed with the product and I'd certainly not purchase another one..

Same here. They’ve sent out replacements with firmware that doesn’t work. No lights under mine working either.

Only fix is a pebble with different firmware that connects to Bluetooth.
