Hi @tony14, it's great to see you participating in our Community!
I would like to have more details. When you mention "Got a new cell" what do you mean? You don't see the steps on the dashboard ?
Do you see the steps on the screen of your Charge 2? Fitbit devices have an algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running. For more details, I recommend you this helpful article How does my Fitbit device count steps? and this post.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Hi GraceGFitbit,
I got a new Samsung cell phone, my old was dying but did work with the fitbit.
The watch does keep track of the steps and the phone says it it syncing with the watch but the circle with the step count in it does NOT show up.
Any help please and thanks

Well the new phone is synced to the watch but not showing anything. But the Dashboard is being updated.
Any way I can get the watch to show the steps?

Thanks for providing me with this information @tony14.
The Fitbit app delivers a personalized experience to give you a deeper understanding of your stats and progress while providing insights to help you reach your goals. If you don't see the tile of steps, please check the instructions here to add the tiles you're missing : How do I add, remove, or rearrange tiles on my Fitbit app dashboard?
I hope this information gets you back on track.
