The first place I would check is in the sleep sensitivity settings. But having an old charge like you do, mine just sometimes doesn't do it either. It's intermittent and I just have to live with it. That said, I know when I get data it is accurate, I compared it to the oura ring and they were the same. I was surprised. (sent the ring back)
