Hi there, I am not really sure if I have a Charge 3 or 4, I have not used it for a few months, so forgot which one I bought 🙂
Nevertheless I wanted to use it again and therefore I started to recharge it.
After almost 24h recharging I can finally see the logo and the error code 001 on the black display.
I tried to restart it by pressing the button for 15 sec while device is still connected to the charging cable (as explain as method of fixing this in numerous other posts), but all it does is just vibrating permanently while I am pressing the button. Besides that nothing else happens. What else is there to do to make it work again ?
Update: after another try - pressing the button for a while while connected to charging cable - the logo and 001 error have disappeared, display is just black now, and vibrations stopped after pressing the button for approx. 6 to 8 seconds.... but nothing else happens no matter how long I press the button now besides permanently vibrations for the first 6 to 8 seconds.
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @sritschi. Thank you for letting us know about the steps you have followed in order to make your Charge 3 work again.
Please follow the instructions of help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? Then try setting up your device again. Check: How do I set up a replacement device or add a second device to my account?

Sorry, this has not helped at all. Of course I have tried everything I have found in this forum in regards to the 001 error, which is back on my display again by the way. Still, when I press the button the device is permanently vibrating, but nothing else happens.
Any more advise how to get the charge started ?

It won't reset. I just get a blank screen (no visual at all) after the 15 seconds. I've tried everything on the forums.

I too have the black screen and it only aggressively vibrates after ‘clearing’ the 001. It is connected to the charging cable.

Please restart your tracker and if this process doesn't work, perform a long restart by doing the following:
Plug the device into the charging cable.
While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds.
Remove your finger from button.

Hi there, is there an other solution for the 001 error besides the long restart method. This doesn’t work. Would be very nice to resolve this problem (a lot of people are dealing with so a read) without contacting Fitbit support!

I have the same as you Sritschi and the screen comes back to the same logo after sitting in the charger for 1-2 hours.
I’ve tried a long restart and many other tricks posted here and it is nothing else I can do than seeing this logo screen with a 001 code until resetting it by pressing the side button for about 6 seconds. The screen goes blank after …….
