Charge 3 - Bluetooth connection questions

Hi all,

Does anyone know how far away the fitbit can be from the phone to still track your gym workout etc? Also does the location setting need to be on 24/7 for the phone and fitbit to connected? Thanks 🙂

Hi @Tamstencel,

1. 33 feet is the maximum distance. It can be shorter, if there's anything interferes with the signal.

2. Yes, I believe bluetooth requires it for the connection. You could try turning it off and seeing, but I believe it's needed.

In addition of the great information provided by @WavyDavey. Please note that your phone must be within 30 feet of your Fitbit device to receive notifications, to automatically sync, to not lose the connection with your Charge 3.

Depending your phone, these tips might make syncing easier:

• Turn on the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app. This setting improves the Bluetooth connection between your phone and Fitbit device. 
• Turn on All-Day Sync in the Fitbit app. This setting prompts your Fitbit device to periodically sync with the Fitbit app.
