Hi all,
I’ve had my Charge 3 for just over a year. It has largely worked like a charm.
A couple weeks back the strap broke; I ordered new ones. They arrived a few days ago, and my FitBit was working fine for a couple days, until yesterday mid-day it stopped recording heart rate. I noticed this morning, and there doesn’t appear to be any green sensor anymore, but everything else seemed to work fine. I rely heavily on the calorie tracker, so I tried a couple things.
first, I charged it back about to ~80% battery (had to run off to work).
I tried resetting the Fitbit through the device itself (settings >> about >> reboot device). It didn’t fix it, but it didn’t make anything worse.
next, after a forum suggestion, I synced it to my phone, then cleared the user data (settings >> about >> clear user data). After removing it from my iPhone 7 Bluetooth pairings, I re-paired it to my iPhone again, and successfully synced it.
Now it doesn’t do heart rate OR steps!
I’m completely in the dark for calorie expenditure, and rather frustrated.
the only thing left I can think to try is connecting it to the power cable, and doing the 8s reset. Can’t do that until I get home (on break at work right now).
thoughts? Suggestions?
