Last year around the start of September, after a Fitbit software update, my Charge 3 stopped connected to my phone. My phone went through several updates and I have since got a new one, this made no difference. I finally got a replacement charge 3 and still the same issue.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Exactly the same problem for me. I messaged Fitbit some time ago and they said it was an on-going issue they were looking into. It's ridiculous, I haven't been able to use mine since around September too! I'm not sure they're looking into it at all.

Two things to check.
Make sure that gps is enabled for the exercise.
Make sure that the Charge 3 says it has a GPS lock.
Make sure that the Fitbit app has permission to run in the background, and that the Fitbit app is running in the background.
If GPS doesn't show as connected, restart the tge phone.
