In some ways I’m glad others have the same problem I have. I have to wear a watch to tell the time.
Was just trying to get it to a brighter screen. Changed to auto and it disappeared!
what's the point of having a watch which you can’t see. Not good!

Hello @Jonjo53. Welcome to the community forums.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for the detailed information. Note that the brightness of your Charge 3 can be adjusted in the Settings app on your Charge 3. If you have any inconvenience to navigate it, please check: How do I navigate my Fitbit device?
Also, if your Charge 3 has gone into Sleep or DND mode, then take into consideration the following:
To change this, press and hold the button, and swipe left to access the quick settings screen. Tap a setting to turn it on or off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it.
Also a restart is recommended, but if that doesn't help and you can't perform any change on your Charge 3 settings, my best recommendation is that you please reach out to our Support Team for further assistance. Note that you can contact them through chat or over the phone, but Phone wait times are longer than normal so I recommend initiating a chat.
See you around.

Hi Wilson,
Thanks for your reply.
doesn’t really work for me.
as I understand it i cannot adjust the brightness on the app I have to do it on the device. Since the device is on auto it is virtually blank. I have to sit in the darkest place in the house when I can just make out the screen.
their are only two brightness settings and I have managed to get it back to the normal setting. I can use this indoors but it is invisible in bright daylight. So I have to wear a watch alongside the fitbit which brings me back to the common query.
what’s the point in having a watch function if you can’t see it?
I may be missing something. I am a bit of an old codger.
I don’t know what DND stands for. I will try to restart the device to see if that makes a difference.
thanks anyway

@Jonjo53 Thank you for your reply.
I appreciate your help in following the suggested steps and thank you very much for taking the time to provide your feedback. The DND mode means (Do not disturb) and when this is activated, notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on.
In this case, if you have completed all of the steps and the issue has persisted, my best recommendation is that you please reach out to our Support Team for further assistance. Note that you can contact them through chat or over the phone and you can click here to get connected, but Phone wait times are longer than normal, so I recommend initiating a chat.
See you around.
